Ai sat, cradling her knees. Sat? Is that the right word? Was she sitting at all? She could not feel the earth if she was. She was alone though...she knew that much. Her eyes were closed tightly and her breathing heavy. She was scared to open her eyes...darkness was all around her...no not darkness...this was worse than darkness...much worse. Her long dark hair was damp, and falling around her as she slowly began to rock back and forth. It was damp, wasn't it? Was this all just in her head? Was she really there? Did she really exist? Was she really rocking? She slowly opened her eyes, eyes that felt as thought they had not ever been opened. Eyes that had deep dark circles under them, scared eyes. The eyes you would expect a wild animal to have, her pupils no more than specks, though no light hit them. Why did it have to be like that? She thought. I shouldn't have acted that way... Flashes of her mothers death came back to her. Her eyes now stung, her face was growing cold. Was she getting herself back? Was she leaving the place she dreaded so much?
Dea was sitting under a large oak tree, its large branches filled with many leaves. She looked up at the sky and watched the clouds for a second. There was a large book in her lap. She wasn't much for reading, but she was bored and had nothing else to do, so why not she thought. She flipped the page a few times skimming over the printed words on the paper. Nothing was really sticking with her, but she was bored...
Dea slapped her book shut and looked around her. There was nothing around her, not a person, not an animal. She smiled. She liked being alone...to a point. She didn't like that darkness...the one that Ai was in right now. Being alone was fine...but not there...no, not there, never there...
She stood up and threw the book on the ground. She looked around her and walked away. She had to find something to do, she wanted to do something before Ai regained control. She would eventually...she had to squeez some fun in her time before Ai came out. She had to.
Dew had been sitting under the tree also, near Dea. She knew it was Dea. She had come to learn to tell the apart now. Dea was never too kind to her, so she never got too close. Her head snapped up as she saw Dea moving out of the corner of her eye. What was she up to now?

Auron walked down the paths of Konoha. It was quite boring now that he was alone. His life was grand now that he had a job, and never ending missions from the Hokage. He only wished that he could have been able to find someone to talk to, his old teammates (again, not assigned yet, will fill in when they arrive) were always out as well, so their were no real friends of his to talk of in the village. As he walked, he saw a girl. Her face was one of sadness and preoccupation. Something was troubling her, but what was it. Shrugging, he silently crept behind her and, letting his darker side take over, slammed his hands on her shoulders and screamed at the top of his lungs. He knew it would lead to trouble, but she needed some cheering up.

Dea let out a loud scream as she felt hands on her shoulders and another scream fill the air. It was all she could do to keep from turning and hitting whoever it was behind her. But it was obviously no threat, seeing as he didn't attack her, just scare her, so there would be no need to kill, though she would have liked to. Ai, however was too close to getting out for her to do anything too bad.
So, instead, she turned around slapping the person behind her upside the head. "Whats wrong with you!?" She demanded, her voice high and shrill. Her eyebrows were knitted together and her mouth drawn up so tight her lips looked like a thin line, rather than a mouth. She was so angry. She would have preferred it to have been a real threat just so she could have killed him, and Ai would have let her if it was a real threat.
"Do you realize I could have killed you!?" She exclaimed angrily. She didn't know the guy standing there, but she could tell already she would not like him, but they may have been because what he had just done was something she would have done. Dea never really got along with people like herself...though she never really got along with anybody.
Dew had raised up seeing the guy coming, and had done nothing, though kept a clear eye on him. She wouldn't have minded Dea getting hurt, but that would have meant Ai got hurt too, and that she would not stand for. Her dark eyes pierced him as he walked, but she saw him as no threat. A small dog-like smirk came to her as she realized what he was about to do. And when he did it she let out a bark meant to be laughter. She would like this guy...Her eyes came to Dea as she blew up on him...Dea would not like this guy...She sighed heavily.

Auron's ears perked as he thought he had heard something nearby. Then turning his attention to angry girl in front of him. Rubbing his cheek he said, "Ow! That hurt. What did I...oh. Sorry about that, I just got the feeling that you needed some cheering up." Letting out an odd smile, Auron put his hands behind his head, "As for you killing me, I don't think about that kind of thing. Death is something that a true Shinobi must never fear. I don't think that...um, what is your name anyway, Angry-chan?"

Dea smiled meanly. "Well, if you insist on calling me "angry" at least leave the "Chan" out will ya?" Her hands were placed on her hips and her fingers were white from clenching them so hard. Her long brown hair was falling over her shoulders and she gave them a flick behind her.
She sighed, what was it about this guy that made her not be angry. "If you prefer though, my name is Dea...or-" She paused. Would it be right to let him find out about Ai? She shook her head. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get called Ai for a while... "Actually...My name is Ai." She said, her eyebrows knitting together.
She looked down to the ground. Here we go... She thought. She could feel Ai coming out. So she prepared herself. And suddenly she was covered in darkness, she was there...but at the same time no where.
Ai blinked suddenly. She looked at the guy in front of her. "Uh...Hi." She said akwardly. She stood there, her arms dangling at her sides. She hadn't even a clue where she was.
Dew sat up, feeling the odd pressure of Ai coming out. Her ears twitched slightly and she walked up to her, hearing her talk. Ai's voice was softer than Dea's, and not as cold.

Auron, being the completely oblivious person that he was, did not notice the newcomer. Instead he noticed the change in personality and her attitude. "Well then Ai-chan, it is a pleasure to meet you. Are you here for a mission or are you a shinobi of this village? I apologize again for scaring you, I merely meant to cheer you up. My name is Zepherix, Auron. I am happy to help you in any way possible apart from assassination and sex."
He let out a laugh at his own joke. She was an odd person, and he loved helping odd people.

Ai smiled, a fake smile, though it was convincing. She just had no idea who he was or what she was doing here. But she kept her smile and gave a soft laugh. "Heh...don't worry about it...I-I'll live through it. I am jonin after all, a scare isn't too bad." She said, putting her hands behind her back. She really didn't have the appearance of a 21 year old jonin, or the personality, but Dea did.
She slowly ran a finger through her long brown hair. Her eyes darted towards Dew. "Ah!" She gasped pointing. "This is my puppy, Dew." She looked kindly from the large wolf, who was obviously no puppy to Auron. She patted her leg, turning her attention back to Dew.
Dew walked slowly towards her. It was Ai for sure. She put her big head covered in dark black fur under Ai's hand. Ai's finders ran through her long, soft fur. Dew loved to get petted on.

Auron looked taken aback by the girls sudden change in personality. She seemed like a new person. Her whole body posture seemed more lax. "Well, your a Jonin? That is quite uncommon for someone as young as yourself. And as for your puppy, if you can call Dew that, hello."
He nodded his head towards the dog. She must be an Inuzuka or something. Looking her up and down, he was trying to figure out what had happened to her, something big had definitely changed about Ai, but what? "Excuse me, but did something just happen to you in the past few seconds, you seem different somehow?"

Ai nodded. "Yes, well I am not that young. Or well, campared to you and some of the people that I have heard of turning Jonin, anway." She smiled kindly at him. Her eyes grew wide when he asked that last question. "Excuse me, but did something just happen to you in the past few seconds, you seem different somehow?" She blinked. Dea had been out, of course he had spoke to her...What had she been thinking? She needed to act more like Dea. Thinking quickly, trying to seem as though she had not thought this she began to speak.
"Yeah, well whats it to ya!?" She yelled, though it seemed rather forced and fake. She had formed her hands into fists and closed her eyes, trying to seem intemedating when she had yelled. She opened her eyes and a sweatdrop formed on her forehead. "Eh...Uh...Thats it is..um..." She paused, feeling stupid. "Thats none of your business!" Again it seemed forced and fake, and she did the same fists and closed eyes.
She sighed, her hands falling limp by her side. "I-I...I'm not going to lie...I have..uh..." She paused, her eyes tightly closed, as though she was expecting to be hit. "Two personalities!" She blurted loudly, trying to get it over with. She never liked telling people, and only the Hokage herself knew. And of course she had become Jonin when The Third was still in charge, so he had known, and Dew...But other than that, just a few select family members.
Dew had sat back and was watching the whole thing. She was always so tickled at Ai, she was so naive and innocent.

Auron stared, split personalities, that was a first. So the girl he had met first was not Ai-chan, but someone else. Moreover, she was a jonin, he would have thought having two personalities would put a damper on being a jonin. "So Ai-chan was not the Angry-chan I met earlier. Or the one I spent last night with?"
He knew it was low, but he had to see if she was telling the truth. A little scare had to help enforce the idea. If Angry-chan came out, he could interrogates her, if not, Ai seemed like a nice person.

Ai nodded, as he spoke. "So Ai-chan was not the Angry-chan I met earlier. Or the one I spent last night with?" Hey eyes grew wide, it did not seem something Dea would do...But she had surprised Ai before. "I-I...What?!" She exclaimed. There was no way...Dea...Or...
Ai had her hand up to her mouth, as though she was scared to death. "I-I-" She muttered, but in the end she gave up. Her face was beat red, there was no way that...
"Angry-Chan?" She said, trying to get off that subject, she didn't even want to think of the trouble Dea may have caused. "Her name is Dea..." She said bitterly. She didn't like talking about Dea too much, she imagined that Dea didn't like talking about her either. "S-She's...been around for a while." She said. She was unsure exactly how to put it, Dea had been with her for a while, but if she had said it like that then it may have sounded as though Ai was crazy...And maybe she was...
No.. Ai thought. That place is all too real for it to be me...No...I'm not crazy...Not at all...

"Dea huh, she wasn't quite as talkative last night, then again, neither was I. One can assume it was a mutual silence. So, how did this split personality start?"
He was now intrigued, how could one person suffer the burden of having someone else use your body for periods of time, and not even know what they did? If she did not catch on soon, he would have to tell. her, or fight her, whichever would happen first, he hoped he did not cross the line before becoming friends.
