Isubara sat at the ramen stand eating happily, though she didn't seem happy. She never looked happy. She slurped up smoe noodles, steadily pulling more up with her chopsticks. She was very deep in thought. She was eating very quickly without knowing it. She put her chopsticks back to her bowl for more, and she was snapped out of her thoughts by a small clinking noise. She looked down, and her bowl was empty. She gave a loud sigh. She looked up at the lady who worked there, who was sipping water.
"Excuse me, Ayame." She said. she came here often, so she knew the girl well. "Can I please have some more?" She asked scooting her bowl towards her, when the girl nodded yes. She sighed as she watched Ayame fix her food. She wasn't really hungry, but she was off duty, and she had nothing to do. She looked behind her at all the people. She couldn't help but be a bit cautious, She had been ANBU for a while now, and was always on her toes. She turned her head back to the counter when she heard a clunk. She saw that Ayame had layed her food on the counter, and had turned to get another persons food. She sighed again, then picked up the chopsticks she had been using, and started eating again. Her thoughts went to Chi Chi. Chi Chi always loved ramen...She was always so happy all the time. She was the first real friend Isubara had ever had. She smiled a very empty smile as she thought of her past. As she thought of her dear, beloved Chi Chi.

Hinotama pushed the curtains back as he removed his hood. "Hey Ichiraku-Staffites!" He chuckled as her sat down. "I'll take the usual, extra spicy!" He waved his hand as he smiled up at them. The food he ate was always the spiciest around. He licked his lips as they set it down. He took a long slurp. "Delicious and good and hot! Just how I like it!" He felt a cold stare. He glanced over. "Oh, sorry I was so hungry I didn't notice you. Say, you're Isubara aren't you? I think I've heard of you."

Isubara looked at him with a blank expression. "Yes...I suppose I am. And no doubt you've heard of me. I am an ANBU, one of the best I might add." Her voice was beautiful, but it had a harsh tone to it. She wasn't being rude by all means though. She then turned back to her noodles, eating once again, as much as she could fit in her mouth. She ate a mouth full, then sighed deeply. Her thoughts were stiil on Chi Chi...If only she would have been there for her...Chi Chi's smile came into her mind, she smiled, but tears filled her eyes. This happened everytime she thought of her...It was the only time she ever felt the need to cry. She gently wiped away the tears, letting no more come. She slurpd more of her noodles, then turned to the man by her. "So, you know who I am...So tell me...Who are you?" She asked him this with the same blank look she had the first time she spoke to him. It wasn't a dumb look, just...empty.

Hinotama blinked a bit at her. "Name's Hinotama. I guess you don't remember me. We graduated the academy about the same time. I guess you just had more drive than me." He scratched the back of his head. "You were always a step ahead of me." He watched how she ate. "Maybe you should slow down. You might choke if you eat too much, too fast! Also if you eat slower it's more filling."

She looked at him with a blank 'I don't care' look. "I don't care what is more filling, really. I just wanted to eat. So...We went to school together...Sorry, I don't remember you. I was only friends with one person the whole time I went to school. And she is..." She flipped her noodles around a bit, she was dazed off. She was, once again thinking about her Chi Chi. "So, you remembered me? What about me made you remember me? Am I that beautiful, or just that ugly?" She asked jokingly. Her voice almost had a little life in it as she said that.

"Actually it's the odd way I can never tell when you're joking or not." He chuckled as he finished his bowl of ramen. "Sorry if I offend." He was using a smiliar tone as her mixing sarcasm with plain speech. "With how I usually was the one causing trouble and making myself memorable." He sighed a bit. "I guess, congratulations on becoming ANBU. I don't really want that kind of responsibility. I'll take my squad over that any day."

She looked at him with hollow eyes. "Squad?" She chuckled. "I don't like getting used to people. Its too much work once its done. And there is always that everlasting pain once they are gone..." Her voice lost the emptyness, and gained sorrow and pain. She shook her head. "I'll never make that mistake again." Her voice regained its hollow usual tone. "But, whatever you do is none of my business."

Hino rolled his eyes a bit. The girl's pesemistic atitude was getting on his nerves a bit. "Well of course it's gonna be painful. But you could also look at the gratification of if I do a good job. Should one of them become Hokage, it'd far beat out any pain of them leaving! It's never really goodbye, so long as you remember that person and live your life the way they would have wanted you to! But hey, that's just what I think." He slurped down another bowl.

Isubara looked over at him with a dull expression. "Yes...But what if...That person was so dear to you, and maybe...That person was the only thing you had left...The only person that loved you..." She looked down at her bowl, then took another bite, this time it was smaller than usual. She looked sad, even though she was trying her best to be blank. In her mind, she was shinobi! She had to be emmotionless, and fearless, not care about anything...But...Was this man right?

Hino gave a shrug. "I don't really know. I have no way to say if you'd be right. I havn't ever felt love. I was always teased as a kid because of my clan, and my clan was harsh since we don't have any room for weakness. So I've pretty much been alone the whole time. I've never really 'lost' anyone close to me because I've never had anyone to be close to." He sighed a bit as he paid for his ramen. "Although I feel remorse for everyone who has been lost, all I can do is keep pushing. So long as I remember those that were lost, I have nothing to grieve over I guess."

She smiled. "I suppose ignorance really is bliss, then...I envy you for that. Count your blessings that you have never lost anyone dear to you...It pains me even thinking about it...But...I am shinobi...I have learned to be as strong as I can be about it." She pushed her empty ramen bowl away from her. Then slid some money up with it.
"That should cover it. Thank you." She said to the girl over the counter. She stood up from her chair, and stretched. Then she turned and say back down. "Well...Maybe a glass of water won't hurt..." She said in her usual hollow tone.

Hino gave a groan and rolled his eyes. "You can't just sit around moping all the time! You need to stand up and get back up on your feet. It might hurt right now, but everything passes in time! I think what you need is to get a little practice in if you wanna be back to your old self!"

She blinked. "Back to my old self...This is my old self stupid. My loved one dies years ago..." She looked up the took a sip of the water that had been set in front of her. She sat it down. "But...I guess a little practice would be good for me..." she looked at him. "You wanna train with me, then? Think you could stand up to me?" She asked teasingly, though her voice barely showed it.

"Then your old self needs to change to something that worth living for!" He walked towards the training grounds. "I can handle myself. Let's just hope your skills aren't too dull!" He grinned as he turned to face her.

She paid for her water then ran up to him. "heh, don't worry about me! I may seem dull and...whatever, but I am as sharp as ever! And I won't take it to easy on you!" She said putting her hands on her hips. She was actually excited, if this guy's bite was as bad as his bark, this would be good!
